Record-Breaking Ticket Sales

Interest in the upcoming Made in New York Jazz Festival, scheduled from June 20 to 23 in Tivat and Podgorica, has exceeded all expectations. Within three weeks of ticket sales opening, the festival has seen a 60 percent increase in “early bird” ticket sales compared to last year.

“We encourage all jazz lovers to get their tickets soon. Until the festival begins, tickets are priced at 25 euros for concerts in Tivat and Podgorica. Don’t miss out on this exclusive opportunity to enjoy performances by some of the world’s, Europe’s, and the region’s finest jazz musicians,” organizers announced. Featured artists include Nathan East, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Frank Gambale, Kennedy Kennedy, Luis Bonilla, Ekep Nkwelle, Šule Jovović, Lana Janjanin, Vladimir Maraš, Branko Sterpin, and Filip Bulatović.

Artist Spotlights

Nathan East: A legendary bassist known for his work with Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, and Daft Punk, East’s deep grooves and smooth rhythms are sure to captivate audiences.

Jeff “Tain” Watts: Renowned for his powerful drumming and dynamic performances, Watts has played with jazz greats like Wynton Marsalis and Branford Marsalis.

Frank Gambale: A virtuoso guitarist famed for his unique sweep picking technique, Gambale brings a blend of jazz, rock, and fusion to the stage.

Lana Janjanin: A talented pianist and composer from the region, Janjanin leads her quartet with a blend of classical and modern jazz influences.

Festival Kick-Off

The festival begins on Thursday, June 20, with a free “Street Jam Session” near Hipotekarna Bank in Porto Montenegro. This event will feature young Montenegrin jazz artists supported by experienced musicians and international guests.

Main Stage and After-Parties

On Friday, June 21, the premier concert will be held at 9 p.m. on the “Synchro” stage in Porto Montenegro. The evening will continue with an after-party at the Blue Room club in Tivat at 11:15 p.m., featuring a blues concert by “Kind of Blues” from Nikšić, supported by festival participants.

More Free Programs

Saturday, June 22, offers another free “Street Jam Session” with Montenegrin jazz artists and their guests at Independence Square in front of the Hard Rock Café in Podgorica at 8 p.m. This event is a prelude to the “Lana Janjanin Quartet” concert at 10 p.m. at the Sejdefa jazz club.

Grand Finale

The festival will conclude on Sunday, June 23, at 9 p.m. in the atrium of Kapital Plaza in Podgorica, featuring a variety of performances that promise to provide a memorable end to this year’s festival.
