Exciting Return of the Tivat Sailing Tradition
Calling all sailing enthusiasts and maritime adventure lovers! The UNA Montenegro Cup Regatta, organized by the Delfin Sailing Club, is back for its 19th edition on Sunday, April 28. This prominent event anchors the Tivat Wind Festival, featuring 16 diverse events across sports, education, culture, and entertainment. These will take place at ten different venues in Tivat over the upcoming five weekends.
The regatta will see a variety of vessels including cruisers, catamarans, sailboats, as well as Hobie Cat and J70 classes. With an expected turnout of approximately 50 boats and 250 sailors, the competition is set to be thrilling.

This year’s race will set off from Ponta Seljanova, navigating past the scenic landmarks like the Tunja lighthouse and the islands of Our Lady of Mercy and Sveti Marko. The course also includes sailing through the Ralo and Verige straits, and around the Peraški islands, before circling back to the finish line at Ponta Seljanova.
Spectator Information
Even if you’re not competing, you can still experience the regatta up close! The Knez Lipovac fleet ship offers free boarding for spectators at 11:30 a.m. from the Pine city waterfront, providing a unique vantage point of the race from the sea.
Awards and Celebrations
The fastest boat in real time and the top three in various categories will receive awards, celebrating their speed and skill. The award ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on April 28 in front of the JK Delfin, followed by a traditional dinner and entertainment by the Toć Ensemble, ensuring a festive conclusion to the event.
The Wind Festival will continue with more activities over the next three weekends.
Additional Youth Regatta
On the preceding day, Saturday, April 27, the Little Tivat Regatta will engage young sailors in Optimist and ILCA classes in Tivat Bay, showcasing emerging talent in the sport.
